FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

BOOK REDEEM DONATING 10,000+ BIBLE EBOOK CARDS

DANVILLE, VA – A new outreach ministry called Book Redeem has printed more than 10,000 Bible ebook cards and is donating them to Christian organizations in Danville and the surrounding area to give away to the public.

Bible cards are wallet-sized cards with a QR code on the back for the recipient to scan and download a free Bible. The cards can be reused, so it is encouraged for recipients to download the free Bible and give the card to someone else to redeem.

More than a dozen Christian organizations, including God’s Pit Crew, Habitat for Humanity ReStore and Salvation Army Thrift Store in Danville have already received donations of Bible cards to hand out. A list of the organizations can be found at BookRedeem.org.

Book Redeem has partnered with Central Boulevard Church of God in Danville to be the designated place for anyone to receive a free Bible card. Book Redeem will restock this church with the cards indefinitely, so anybody who wants a Bible card can visit the church at 235 Hairston Street in Danville. The Sunday morning service starts at 10:45 a.m.

The Central Boulevard Church of God is excited to partner with Book Redeem in this effort to help provide access to the Word of God to everyone that wants a digital copy of the Bible,” stated Central Boulevard Church of God Pastor Jim Spivey. “We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and reading the Bible is a necessary part of a growing relationship with God.”

Other churches and organizations that have received donations of Bible cards to give out to their entire congregations and staff include Trinity United Methodist Church, Westover Christian Academy, Westover Baptist Church, Union Church, First Presbyterian Church, Faith Memorial Baptist Church, Hope Church, Woodberry Hills Baptist Church, Thee Apostolic Remnant Church (ARC) and St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

Churches and other Christian organizations located in Danville that want a free pack of Bible cards to give out may contact Book Redeem at https://bookredeem.org/contact/.

The free Bible version is the World English Bible, which is an update of the American Standard Version of 1901, now with USA spelling for contemporary readers. The words of Jesus Christ are presented in red throughout the text. The files that are available for download are an EPUB format that can be read as an ebook via Kindle, Nook, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play, etc., and a PDF file of the World English Bible 2022 Illustrated version designed for print. Michael Paul Johnson is the senior editor of the World English Bible.
